Sharing Saturdays

Clothing Distribution and Community Outreach

Grace Lutheran hosts a free community clothing distribution on the second Saturday of every month from 10am-12pm.  In addition to clothing, you can grab a cup of coffee and light breakfast/lunch. This distribution is open to anyone in need, but NO re-sellers, please.  We have a wide (and changing) variety of clothing available for men, women, and children. Come “shop” our selections! We’d love to meet you and assist you in finding what you need. 

We also offer children's activities during the clothing distribution. While the adults find clothing -- the kids can have some fun!

Donations

In-season clothing donations for this event are accepted as our storage space allows. If you have new or gently used clothing you would like to donate, please contact the church office to ensure we have room to accommodate it at that time.

Prison Bible Ministry

Our prison ministry in is partnership with the Chaplain at the Hays County Jail. Bibles are marked with selected passages highlighted before they are delivered to the Chaplain.

We have also provided Bibles to Willacy County and Comal County Jails.

In 2022, we distribtued over 200 Bibles to local prisons.

 

 

Noisy Collection

Each month, a special collection is taken up for various organizations. Save your extra change to make some noise when you drop it in the labeled tin cans as you come into the sanctuary for worship!
