God desires to bless you. Always! In every circumstance God is working to bless you. Most people do not realize nor recognize the ultimate blessing IS God.

What does it mean to be blessed?

To be blessed is no more and no less than to have harmony with God, your Savior. To be known by and to know your Creator/Redeemer is to enter into a state of blessedness. 2 Corinthians 4:6: “For God, who said, “Let light shine out of darkness,” has shone in our hearts to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.”

People seek after many blessings when only one thing is needful; namely, a living relationship with Christ Jesus. Through faith in Christ, everything becomes a blessing. Apart from Christ nothing is of value or lasting pleasure. At best, anything that brings pleasure apart from Christ is a tease, a short-lived false sense of satisfaction. The bubble will bust, the pleasure will cease. True enjoyment is everlasting. True pleasure is discovered when we are at rest in Christ. There in the love of our Savior do we find rest from fears, from sinful flesh, from neediness and loss, insecurities and confusion. In Christ we discover a love that fulfills, a peace that stills, and a power that instills in us hope.

2 Corinthians 4:7 also says, “But we have this treasure in jars of clay to show that the surpassing power belongs to God and not to us. We are afflicted in every way…” in order that the truth and love of Christ might be manifested in and through us. Now that is the real meaning of life on earth.

Endless people search for meaning and reject the only real meaning possible. If you are a creation of an Almighty God and you are the object of the redemption of the Son of God then outside of a relationship with your Maker Redeemer there is no meaning or fulfillment in life.

Let the light shine in hopeless nights and brighten the horizon upon which you gaze. Quit concocting your own realization and let the Lord God bring you the blessing of His reality. In Christ, God IS the ultimate blessing for which you search.
